  1. Permitted Hours
  2. Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours. In this condition, permitted hours mean:
  3. On weekdays, other than Christmas Day, Good Friday or New Years Eve, 10:00 hours to 23:00 hours
  4. On Sundays, other than Christmas Day, Good Friday or New Years Eve, 12:00 hours to 22:30 hours
  5. On Good Friday 12:00 hours until 22:30 hours
  6. On New Years Eve on a Sunday 11:00 hours to 23:00 hours
  7. On New Years Eve on a Sunday 12:00 hours to 22:30 hours
  8. On New Years Eve from the end of permitted hours to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31st December).
  9. On Christmas Day, as provided by the rules of the club and notified in writing by the chairman or secretary of the club to the chief executive of the justices for the petty sessions area in which the premises are. The said hours shall:
  10. Not exceed six and a half hours
  11. ii. Not begin earlier than 12:00 hours
  12. iii. Not end later than 22:30 hours
  13. iv. Provide for a break of at least 2 hours, including 15:00 hours to 17:00 hours
  14. Not extend for more than three and a half hours after 17:00
  15. The above restrictions do no prohibit:
  16. During the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the consumption of the alcohol on the premises;
  17. During the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
  18. During the first thirty minutes after the above hours, the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied as ancillary to the meals;
  19. The supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.
  20. Private Entertainment
  21. Dancing, music or other entertainment of the like kind which is not a public entertainment but which is promoted for private gain without any hours limitation.
  22. Protection of Children
  23. If more than one hundred persons under 14 ("juniors") are attending an entertainment for juniors or an entertainment at which the majority of those attending are juniors, there shall be sufficient adult attendants, properly instructed as to their duties:
  24. To prevent more juniors or other persons being admitted to the building or part thereof than the building or part can properly accommodate; and
  25. To control the movement of juniors and other persons admitted while entering and leaving the building or part; and to take all reasonable precautions for the safety of the children.
  26. No person under the age of 17 years shall take part in any performance in which his or her life or limbs are in danger.
