Licence conditions (4)
  1. All staff shall be trained in relevant age restrictions, recognising signs of drunkenness, how to refuse service, the premises' duty of care, company policies and reporting procedures, and the conditions in force under this licence. Staff training will also include how to recognise and handle any situations arising in a professional and non confrontational manner which could involve drink/driving and /or vulnerable people who need assistance and staff will be supported in these situations.2. Documented records of training completed shall be kept for each member of staff. Training shall be regularly refreshed and at no greater than 12 monthly intervals. Training records must be made available for inspection upon request by a Police officer or an authorised officer of Colchester City Council.
  2. There must be a personal license holder on the premises to authorise alcohol sales.4. The premises has a zero-tolerance approach to drug use and to drunkenness and will display posters on the premises to this effect.5. An incident log (which may be electronically recorded) shall be kept at the premises for at least six months, and made available on request to the Police or an authorised officer of the Licensing Authority. The log must record details of the incident, date, time, the staff who dealt with it, the action taken, the outcome, and whether the emergency services were called. The incident log must record incidents in relation to - all crimes reported to the venue, or by the venue to the Police all ejections of customers any complaints received any incidents of disorder any faults in the CCTV system the date and time of the refused alcohol sale and the name of the member of staff who refused the sale. any visit by a relevant authority or emergency service times on duty, names and the licence numbers of all licensed door supervisors employed by the premises.
  3. Customers will be given a " winding down " 30 minute warning prior to the stop serving of alcohol.
  4. Under 18s are permitted on the premises and this has been considered and must continue to be considered in the risk assessments for the premises.8. Alcohol storage to be conducted only in the rear area behind the raised bar counter which will be staffed.9. The Challenge 25 scheme must be operated to ensure that any person who appears to be under the age of 25 shall provide documented proof that he/she is over 18 years of age. Proof of age shall only comprise a passport, photo card driving licence, an HM Forces warrant card, or a card bearing the PASS hologram.
